It’s You, Darling
Lots of contemplating will bring us to a place where we can see a little clearer, not those around us, but within ourselves, and through that, we’re able to identify what meets our needs and wants. We’re forever changing, growing, and becoming the people we are meant to be.

If you believe someone else can complete us, you’ll always come up short. People can enhance us and help us to learn more than what we already know, but they can never make us whole as it’s you, yourself, that can do that.
I lose myself in the pages of books, in short musings, and poetry which is why I primarily share bookish type things. However, recently I’ve been led to focus inward on myself and to allow those words to teach and inspire me. It’s perhaps because of this that I’m driven to share more of myself. I’m not perfect, filled with a mystery even I have yet to discover within but to step outside myself and allow others to see me, the work I can do, and the gifts I can share is scary but exciting all the same.
We seek outside validation to feel comfortable in our skin but it' doesn’t stretch you to be more to view yourself as you truly are because it takes one comment, one disagreeing view to alter that change and to have us start to second-guess what we’re learned and believe.
Kindness and love are my go-to when understanding seems to be missing from a relationship or situation. Often hostility comes too easily to us as we sit behind a screen and feel the need to lash out should someone challenge us or condemn our ways of thinking. Because we hide and allow technology to guide us away from our sensitivity, we find it easy to get swept up in something that’s not real. I’m not suggesting that what we view online isn’t based on reality, but instead, our own lives dictate what’s real for us. It could be this endless amount of time that we’ve been holed up in our houses because of COVID, or it could be the normal reflection of what we see in the mirror that manages what’s truly tangible in our worlds.
You live for yourself, this life is a path in which we all walk alone even surrounded by others, and not one other person can change that. Your experiences, thoughts and actions shape you and your direction. The choice to become what you know can be and what you already are is within you, always.
