Be the Inferno That You Are

Of course, you've heard the saying "If I'm too much, go find less", right? Well since it's Women's History Month I thought I'd expand on this a little since this phrase is usually referring to a woman typically being too much for a man in some way.

We're always too much in some way but that doesn't mean in general, it means for that person. They're just incapable of handling who and what we are in our full capacity and one should never shrink to fit the needs and wants of someone else. There is someone out there for us and with eight billion people in the world, it's highly likely there's more than one.

The trick is finding someone who accepts you as you are. Be yourself, love your whole being, and be the inferno that you are. We settle for less than we deserve because it sometimes feels like the love we're given is enough even when they tell us we're too much. Your right person will never tell you that, they might call you out on your shit, but they should do it in a loving way that helps you grow and not make you feel like you have to be less in any way.

I can say this with certainty because I've settled for way less than I deserved in the past. When I was younger, I didn't know myself enough to know what I wanted in a partner so when someone showed me the least amount of attention, I grabbed onto it thinking that was the best I was going to get. Now that I've spent some time alone I've realized I'm actually good on my own and the person I accept into my life for the long term will only add to my life in all the ways I've wished for, they won't be perfect and neither will I, but we'll be willing to do the work and respect each other enough to work through the hard stuff when it comes up.

The message here is to be your full authentic self and don't show up as anything other than that. Feel the fire burning in your soul and let it burn bright.
